Studio Policies
At Hometown Sweat, we truly believe that human beings have the power and ability to transform their lives through sweating, physical activity, and positive mindset.
And we welcome people to come into this space as their true, genuine selves. Because we help people from all walks of life every day, nearly 365 days per year, we’ve detailed our Studio Policies to ensure that you and your fellow community members (that includes other students, teachers, and HTS staff) can also have an incredible experience when they show up to sweat. We get into the nitty gritty a bit here, and many of these points are things that our members have brought to our attention over the years.
Thank you for reading!
First and foremost, please be kind and respectful to the staff, teachers, and other students at Hometown Sweat.
Hometown Sweat opens 15 minutes before and after each class; we strongly ask that you remember and respect this policy so that, especially after class, the staff can complete their work.
You will need a mat and a large towel for class. We do not rent mats; however, if you do not have one you can purchase one at the studio. We do, however, rent towels.
All classes begin precisely on time, and the door is locked at the start of the class time (for example, if the class is scheduled to begin at 9:30am, the door is locked at 9:30am, and there is no late admittance).
We are not able to keep the door unlocked for late admittance. Late admittance is not only a disruption to the class, but also leaving the door unlocked is a liability to everyone’s safety.
Please take all belongings with you when you leave class. We donate Lost & Found items weekly.
We do not provide mat storage so please take your mat with you after class.
Use of the hand weights is for Sculpt classes only.
When you sign up or show up for a class, please stay for the entirety of the class. If you will need to leave early, please attend a different class, one for which you can stay the whole time. (We start class on time so that we can end on time, as we respect your schedule).
We have ceiling fans and heating duct work in our yoga room. If you are a tall practitioner, please take a look around when you’re setting up to make sure you’re in a comfortable spot for yourself. Our taller yogis will sometimes be able to touch the fans and duct worth if they set up directly beneath them.
When you’re setting up for class, take a peek to see if you’re completely blocking someone’s view of themself. If you are, please stagger to the best of your ability. We can fit three rows in the hot room, so even in very full classes, all of the yogis can see their own reflections.
Please dress appropriately. If you’re not sure what that means, ask us.
Please do not use profane language at Hometown Sweat.
Do not, under any circumstance, molest, badger, assault or harass other studio members, guests or employees. If a member/patron engages in such behavior, the member’s membership shall be subject to immediate cancellation with no refunds.
Do not, under any circumstance, engage in racist, sexist, or derogatory conversation. If a member/patron engages in such behavior, the member’s membership shall be subject to immediate cancellation with no refunds (this includes what you think might be a joke because let’s be honest, it’s not funny).
Thank you for respecting and adhering to these studio policies.
