A Fun Winter Activity To Do With Toddlers
I always struggle during February. I'm ready for spring, I'm sick of the snow, and I'm craving the warmth of sunlight. Not to mention, I run out of fun winter activities to do with my toddlers. What cold-weather mom doesn't? Fortunately, I have recently discovered the most magical, summer-like place just west of Boston, and a trip here is a perfect winter activity to do with toddlers. Wellesley College has these amazing Botanical Gardens and greenhouses that are open year round! You can show up anytime from 8am - 4pm and explore the multiple rooms of sunlight and life. Each room is warm (even hot) and perfectly humid; my family and I were shedding layers the moment we walked in. And the best part? Visiting is free.If you enter Wellesley College from the back entrance, you'll take a right up a long road toward the Science Center. Look for signs that say "Gray Lot" and that's where you can park. You'll see greenhouses just beyond the lot. This is my new favorite place, and it's the perfect escape on a cold, winter day. My kids love looking at the plants and the fish, and it just feels so good to be warm and sweat! Even though I've taken my kids each time so far, I can honestly see going here by myself to do a bit of work on my laptop or even just to read.Below are some pictures from this past weekend.Enjoy!
